Welcome To Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield
We’re Happy You’re Here.
As a new member, we know you have questions, and we want to help you make the most of your benefits. Here are some tips to help you learn more about your new health plan.
1. Look For Your Member ID Card
You should have received your Anthem member ID card in your new member packet that we mailed you. You’ll use it for doctor visits, prescriptions, and hospital stays. If your card was not in your new member packet or you didn’t receive a packet, give us a call at:
2. Make An Appointment With Your PCP
Your main doctor is called a primary care provider, or PCP. Your PCP is listed on your ID card and in your online account. Your PCP is an important part of your care. We recommend you call to make an appointment with your PCP as soon as you can. A checkup now will help your PCP learn about your medical history before any health issues occur.

We want you to understand your benefits and receive the best possible care. Learn what you can expect from Anthem on your plan benefits page, including many extras just for being our member. You can also read your member handbook for details about your benefits. For a copy of your handbook, visit your benefits page below.
Note: You need to renew your benefits each year. You will receive a notice in the mail when it’s time to renew. If you move, Ohio Medicaid will need your new address so you don’t miss important alerts about your renewals.
