Free Rides To Your Appointments

As an Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield member, you can receive free rides to and from your doctor’s office, pharmacy, and other providers of covered services.

How To Schedule A Ride

Call Access2Care

Call Access2Care toll-free at 800-282-9720 a minimum of two full business days prior to your scheduled routine appointment.

Reservations

Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. Reservations for repeat appointments such as dialysis, chemotherapy, or radiation can be scheduled for a period of 90 days at a time.

Urgent/Same Day Appointment

For an urgent/same day appointment or facility discharge, members may call the Access2Care toll-free reservation line at 800-282-9720, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Access2Care will try to find a ride for the member.

You Will Need To Provide The Following Information When Calling Access2Care

 

 Your plan member ID number (located on your member ID card)

 

 Your full name

 

 Your date of birth

 

 Your current address

 

 Your phone number

 

 Details for pick-up address and drop-off of appointment address

 

 Specific appointment date and time

As an Anthem member, you can receive extras for transportation as well, including a $25 Uber gift card for members ages 18 and older.

Questions About Your Ride

If you have questions about a ride you set up or need to cancel it, call Access2Care at 800-282-9720. You also can cancel a transport using the Access2Care mobile app. If you have questions or concerns about coverage or your service, contact Member Services at 844-912-0938 (TTY 711) Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time.
