Matt Pickett Named President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Colorado

 

DENVER, CO – Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Colorado (Anthem) today announced that Matt Pickett has been named Colorado Commercial State Plan President.

 

“Matt has an in-depth knowledge of the health care industry and recognizes the importance of supporting and enhancing the whole health of a person,” said Rich Novack, Senior Vice President, Commercial Markets, for Anthem’s parent company. “Matt understands our local members’ unique needs and is committed to expanding access to high quality, affordable healthcare for all Colorado health plan members and employers.”

 

Pickett has more than 20 years of payer and benefits experience including a role leading the sales and account teams for Anthem in Colorado for two years. He most recently served as vice president and employee benefits team lead for Holmes Murphy and Associates, one of the largest privately held employee-owned brokerage and consulting firms in the country, helping lead both the Colorado and Arizona markets.

Pickett has spent the majority of his life in Colorado and has deep family ties to the state. He earned both his undergraduate business degree and master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Colorado Denver. He is a former member of the board of directors of the American Lung Association Colorado chapter.
