Transportation for New York members

Getting to your doctor in NY

We don’t want transportation issues to stand in the way of getting the healthcare you need. That’s why we work with Medical Answering Services (MAS) and ModivCare in New York to help you get to your doctor visits.

Scheduling a ride

Medical Answering Services (MAS) and ModivCare (formerly LogistiCare) provide nonemergency medical transportation services for Anthem Medicaid members in New York. Rides must be scheduled three days in advance. Here’s where to call to schedule your ride:

The Bronx, Brooklyn (Kings), Manhattan (New York), Queens, Staten Island (Richmond), Delaware, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester County: Call MAS at 1-800-850-5340.

Nassau and Suffolk County: Call ModivCare at 1-844-678-1103 (TTY 1-866-288-3133).

Non-medical transportation for MLTC members

Anthem partners with ModivCare to administer the nonemergency transportation benefit to our Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) members. As an Anthem member, you may access these services through a ModivCare contracted transportation vendor. You must notify them at least three days in advance for any transportation requests. Please notify them ten days in advance if you’d like to use the MetroCard option.

If you’re an MLTC member and want to schedule transportation with ModivCare, call 877-831-3146. To find out where your ride is, call the “Where’s My Ride” line at 877-831-3147 (TTY 866-288-3133).
