Yes, your doctors and pharmacies will still be in the network. You can continue to see your same doctor.

Rest assured, there will be no impact or changes to coverage, access to healthcare providers or level of support as a result of any brand changes. Your health plan will continue to operate as it does today.

You can continue to use the SydneySM Health mobile app to access your personal benefit information, using your same registration and log-in information. 

Commercial members: Starting January 1, 2024, Blue Cross and Blue Shield members can find us at anthem.com and Blue Cross members can find us at anthembluecross.com.

If you visit empireblue.com after January 1, 2024, don’t worry, you will be automatically redirected to anthembluecross.com. You will be able to use the same registration and log-in information you currently use.

Medicaid members: Starting December 8, 2023, you will find us at anthembluecross.com/ny. If you visit empireblue.com/ny after December 8, 2023, don’t worry, you will be automatically redirected to anthembluecross.com/ny/medicaid.

You will be able to use the same registration and log-in information that you currently use. 

Yes, your ID card will be updated in our Sydney Health app. We will begin mailing ID cards toward the end of 2023 and throughout 2024 as you renew your coverage.

Rest assured you may continue to use your existing card to access care and services as long as your coverage remains active. You can always access your ID card through Sydney Health.

Your claim will be processed normally — nothing will change.

No, there is no action needed by you. We are in direct communication with our doctors and pharmacies about our brand changes.

No, you don’t need to take any action to keep your coverage as a result of our name becoming Anthem.

No, there will be no changes in the way we do operate today. Our partnership remains a top priority.

No, this will not impact any file feeds or relationships with third-party vendors. 

Yes, any communications that reference the Empire BlueCross BlueShield and Empire BlueCross name or logo will need to be modified to release on January 1, 2024. Contact your representative to supply you with the resources you need to make any necessary changes. 

There will be no impact to access or functions of our public or secure portals other than you will see our new branding.

Starting January 1, 2024, you can find us at anthem.com or anthembluecross.com instead of empireblue.com. If you visit empireblue.com on or after January 1, 2024, you will be automatically redirected to anthembluecross.com.
