Easily track and manage your pharmacy benefits

Not all of our large group employer-sponsored and/or self-insured plans have our pharmacy coverage. Benefits may vary based on your coverage. Please check your ID card, certificate, or schedule of benefits and amendments to see if you have this coverage.

Medicines play an important role in good healthcare. That’s why many of Anthem’s health plans come with prescription drug coverage. We make it simple for you to track and manage your medicines – all in one convenient place. To get started, log in to anthem.com or use the Sydney Health mobile app. Our drug lists are reviewed and updated quarterly. Remember to check the information throughout the year to access the most up-to-date information.

Look at everything you can do:

  • Price a medication and find the lowest cost alternative. And find out about your applicable copay, coinsurance or deductible.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities such as filling a 90 day supply.
  • Find a pharmacy that’s close to your home or office.
  • Access up-to-date drug coverage information.
  • View your prescription history.
  • Check your order status.
  • Refill or renew your home delivery or specialty pharmacy prescriptions or sign up for automatic refills or renewals for your home delivery prescriptions. Home delivery may help you save money.
  • Set communication preferences for either phone or e-mail notification when the home delivery pharmacy receives an order, ships a prescription, or when it is time to refill or renew a prescription.
  • View and edit personal information such as phone numbers, address, payment information, allergies and medical conditions.

You can also search for your drug to see if it’s covered, check the drug label and generic name, find out which tier it’s on, what drug class it’s in, what dose/strength options, and see if it has any restrictions like step therapy, quantity limits, or prior authorization. If your drug is not on your plan’s drug list, talk to your doctor to see if there are other options. Depending on your plan's drug list, you may be able to request an exception if another drug won't work for you. An exception request may be submitted by logging in to anthem.com, selecting Prescriptions, Prescriptions Home, and then selecting Request a Prior Authorization.

To get a paper copy of information about your pharmacy coverage by fax or mail, or for any other questions, call the Pharmacy Member Services number on your ID card. We’re available 24/7.
