Credentialing with Anthem

Anthem uses CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) ProView™  to collect and verify healthcare professional’s qualifications, including certification, training, licensure, and registration to practice. If you have a CAQH user ID, please make sure to give Anthem authorization to view your CAQH credentialing information. For help with this you can contact CAQH online or call CAQH at (888) 599-1771.

Payments for services from a non-participating provider are generally sent to the member, except where federal or state mandates apply, or negotiated agreements are in place.

In addition to using a telehealth service, you can receive in-person or virtual care from your own doctor or another healthcare provider in your plan’s network. If you receive care from a doctor or healthcare provider not in your plan’s network, your share of the costs may be higher. You may also receive a bill for any charges not covered by your health plan.
