- If a licensed physician/provider is prescribing Subutex/Suboxone for opioid dependence, the provider MUST be certified to treat opioid dependence under the Drug Addiction Treatment Acts of 2000 (DATA 2000).
- Every certified physician may NOT be on the list found on the above website. For verification, you may call the Buprenorphine Information Center in Washington, D.C. at 877-726-4727 and give the providers DEA or provider number.
